Quilt Assembly
1. Referring to the quilt assembly diagram (below), arrange the blocks in a pleasing design, distributing the colors to balance the quilt.
2. Sew the first column of rectangles together. Press the seam allowances down.
3. Sew the second column of rectangles together, beginning and ending with a half-hexagon. Press the seam allowances up.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until all columns are sewn together.
5. Sew the columns together and press the seam allowances to one side.
6. See Borders to check your quilt measurements and adjust your border lengths.
7. Sew the border strips together diagonally end to end to make 2 side borders 3½˝ × 52½˝ and 2 top and bottom borders 3½˝ × 56½˝, or use your measurements.
8. Sew the side borders to the quilt first and then the top and bottom borders. Press the seams toward the borders.
9. Layer, baste, quilt, bind, and enjoy!
